Mr. Hotness Page 3

“Wow. Thanks.” He looked at the keycard with raised eyebrows. Nothing about this joint was cheap, not even the keycard technology.

At the elevator, he inserted his keycard, and the doors slid open. The white marble tile continued into the elevator. The doors closed, and he pressed the correct button.

Smooth and silent, the elevator rose. A few minutes later, it stopped. He inserted his keycard, and the door opened to a suite, not a floor with a hallway. For a moment, he just stared. The elevator door started to close, and he jumped forward onto floors covered in the same marble. A cushy, black leather couch anchored the room and sat atop a plush, white shag throw rug. Two matching chairs and two end tables with glass tops flanked the sofa. An elegant glass coffee table sat in front it. Directly in front of the coffee table, a gas fire flickered in the fireplace. A large flat screen TV hung on the wall above it. Beyond the seating area, an intimate table for two abutted a solid wall of glass windows boasting a panoramic view of the Las Vegas strip. On the glass table, someone had left a bucket with a bottle of champagne, a bowl of strawberries, chocolate, fresh whipped cream, and a card.

The sound of water running and a husky female voice singing an off-key rendition of “Rolling in the Deep” echoed through the penthouse and brought a smile to his lips. Should he let her know he’d arrived? Or should he just wait for her to come out of the shower?

Deciding on the latter, he crossed to the table and picked up the card. Scrawled in elegant handwriting, it said:

May this 1Night Stand bring you all you’ve hoped for and more.

  Madame Eve

He set the card down and turned to the window. In the darkness, the Las Vegas strip shone bright enough to be seen from space. Lights twinkled, and people milled like ants scurrying around a colony. Out the window, the Luxor, a dark pyramid with light shooting out of the top, and the “skyline” of New York-New York, including the Statue of Liberty, rose above the hopping streets. From his vantage point, he could even see Bellagio’s fountains dancing.

A gasp sounded behind him, and he spun. He blinked a few times. Surely, his eyes deceived him. It couldn’t be her, but the woman standing before him couldn’t be anyone else. Involuntarily, his gaze travel from her bare, slender feet up her slim calves, past knees peeking out from under a towel he desperately wanted to tug at until it fell to the floor, over the breasts that had captured his attention earlier, and continued up until it stopped at a face so perfect he’d dream about it for months to come. Lust roared through him, and he ached to sink his hands into the long, wet hair cascading over her bare shoulders and the plush, white towel covering her.

The beautiful, sexy woman before him had said she was meeting someone. If she were his for the night, he’d hit the jackpot.

  Chapter Five

Naia stared at Mr. Hotness, her eyes widening. His appearance confirmed her suspicions. Liz had set her up. She didn’t know whether to be angry or grateful. If she was going to lose her virginity, she couldn’t think of a better specimen of a man to give it to.

Pretending innocence because she didn’t want to explain to him she’d suspected this and kept silent, she asked, “What are you doing here? I thought you had a bachelor party to go to.”

“So did I. As much as I’d like to see my friends, I can’t say I’m disappointed. I’m surprised, but not disappointed.”

  “Surprised?”

“Yeah, I mean, I can’t imagine a woman like you needing help finding a date.”

Anger zipped through her, and she snapped, “Yeah, well, the same could be said for you.”

He stepped toward her, an apologetic expression on his face. “That came out wrong. I meant it as a compliment. You’re beautiful. I don’t know why someone hasn’t already wooed you.”

Mollified a little, she said, “Maybe I didn’t want to be wooed. Not every woman is desperate for a man.”

With a sigh, he rubbed his face, and the corners of his lips turned up in a rueful smile. “You have your answer why I’m alone.”

His response diffused her anger, and she chuckled. “I’ve been too busy to date.” Her towel started to slip, and she grabbed for it. “Um, do you mind if I put on some clothes? I know we’ll eventually be taking them off, but….”

He looked her over, hunger in his eyes. The hunger that had swept through her when she’d first seen him intensified. A desire to drop her towel just to see his reaction nearly made her let go, but fear stayed her hand.

“Um….” She motioned to the bedroom behind her. “I’ll be right back.”

He nodded but didn’t say anything.

Slipping back into the bedroom, she shut the door and leaned against it. Her heart beat a rapid tattoo. Fear, anticipation, lust, and a little bit of giddiness threatened to overwhelm her.

This was really happening. And not just with some random man, but the best friend of her best friend’s fiancé. Crap! What happened if it didn’t work out? If he was invited to the bachelor party, he’d be at the wedding. How awkward would that be? She wanted a true one-night stand. What if he wanted more?

  Crap! Crap! Crap!

She had to tell him. She turned back to the door, and her towel slipped to the floor.

She’d tell him after she dressed.

“Nuns. Dead cats. Nuns. Dead cats,” Joe chanted to calm his raging hormones.

No woman had ever affected him this way, not even his ex-fiancée. If he didn’t calm down, the first time would be done before it began. Not the impression he wanted to make, even if he never saw her again. And he hoped he’d see her again, so no two-minute sex sessions.

Brandon met Liz through 1Night Stand. Maybe….

The bedroom door opened, and his mind stalled midstream. The woman who occupied his thoughts so completely appeared. A red silk scoop-necked slip dress clung to her curves, her beautiful breasts full and luscious. They’d fit perfectly in his hands. Were her nipples brown or pink? How easy it’d be to lift the hem and find out. The nipples pebbled under his gaze. Was she wearing a bra? He licked his suddenly dry lips, his control slipping away. How could one woman be so breathtaking?

She paused, uncertainty in every move she made. The urge to protect her surged through him, cooling his desire enough for his brain to function.

“Are you okay?” he asked, moving closer to her.

Indecision and a glimmer of fear shone in her eyes. She nodded but looked away, refusing to meet his gaze. Instead, she focused on her hands clasped tightly in front of her.

“I have a confession to make.”

Shit! Don’t tell me you’re married. Married women were taboo in his book.

“I know Brandon and Liz. Liz is my best friend.” She glanced up at him, before staring at the floor and continuing. “When you said you were coming to meet him, I knew he wouldn’t be here. I thought they’d set us up, but I wasn’t sure. I mean, Madame Eve….”

Relief washed over him at her words. “So?”

  “So, I didn’t tell you.”

She peeked up at him. His protective instincts surged forward again, and he battled the urge to gather her in his arms and kiss her until her fears faded away.

“Tell me? Tell me something you weren’t sure about?”

She nibbled on her lower lip and looked down, her long, dark lashes hiding her eyes once again, and then nodded.

He closed the distance between them. Raising her chin so he could meet her gaze, he said, “I’m not worried about it. What could be better than a night with a beautiful woman?”

She cocked an eyebrow, but the comment hit the mark because she smiled. Her stomach gurgled, and they laughed when his answered.

“Perhaps we should eat,” he said. “Would you like to eat in or go out?”

Butterflies took flight in her stomach. The moment had arrived…sort of. If she said “out,” she’d delay the reason she’d come on this date. If they stayed in, it’d happen sooner. The thought of his nake
d body pressed against hers sent a shower of heat cascading through her.

“Well, that table by the window looks like a perfect place to eat. It’d be kind of a shame to waste it.”

He stepped in closer, and his masculine essence swirled around her. Hunger forgotten, her eyes drifted shut, and she savored his scent. God, he smelled so good. She could eat him. She licked her lips and, suddenly, his mouth covered hers. Desire ricocheted through her, and she caught fire. Goose bumps raced across her skin. A moan escaped her, and she pressed into him, opening her mouth to his probing tongue and molding her body to his. She slid her hands around his trim waist and up his back, trying to get closer.

Muscles rippled under his shirt, but she wanted to touch bare skin. Impatient, she tugged at the material and slipped underneath to warm flesh. Smooth and firm, his back spoke of either physical labor or hours in the gym.

All thoughts ceased when he trailed kissed down her neck, and, suddenly, cool air caressed her heavy breasts before a hot mouth fastened onto her nipple. She arched toward him even as alarm bells rang in her head.

Fighting her instincts, Naia pushed at his chest. “Joe.”

He didn’t respond, still suckling her nipple. His tongue flicked the hard nub, and her legs threatened to buckle.

  “Joe,” she said louder.

He stopped his ministrations and regarded her with heavy-lidded eyes. Desire flickered in his gaze, and he leaned forward to take her lips in another kiss.

Shaking her head, she retreated. It took all of her willpower to step out of his embrace, but she broke free.

Confusion replaced lust on his features, and he frowned. “Did I do something wrong?”

She clasped her hands together to prevent herself from reaching for him again. He needed to know, deserved to know.

“No. I…. I think we should eat first.”

“Okay. Are you sure I didn’t do anything wrong?”

“No. You’re doing everything right. So, so right.”

He smiled, and sex appeal oozed off of him. Her stomach flip-flopped. The inferno inside of her threatened to consume her. Screw it. He’d find out soon enough she was a virgin. Maybe he didn’t want a virgin, and she’d lose her chance. This was a one-night stand. If she made him mad, well, she hadn’t planned on seeing him again anyway. What did it matter?

Except you’ll see him at Liz’s wedding, her conscience murmured.

But for only one day. If she needed to, she could avoid him.

Decision made, she said, “On second thought, dinner can wait.”

His face lit up. “Are you sure?”

“Uh-huh.” She grabbed his hand and led him to the bedroom. Her stomach did catapult maneuvers, but she ignored it. The moment had arrived. If she was going to lose her virginity to someone, she wanted it to be to Mr. Hotness.

He pulled her to a stop and pressed himself against her back, his erection pushing into her buttocks. He cupped her breasts, lightly pinching her nipples, and trailed kisses down the side of her neck. Her knees buckled, and she leaned into him.

  “God, you’re so beautiful.”

Unable to speak, she moaned. He scooped her up and carried her to the large California king-size bed. Soft silk caressed her oversensitive skin when he laid her down, and she squirmed, eager to have him touch her again. Raising her arms toward him, she beckoned him to her.

He shook his head and gave her a toe-curling smile. Instead of complying with her silent demand, he stripped off his T-shirt and dropped it on the floor. A light dusting of dark hair trailed from his chest over his six-pack abs and disappeared into his jeans. The flames of passion licked higher.

His jeans and shoes followed. The head of his cock pushed out of the top of his underwear.

When he didn’t remove them, she looked up into his face. Arms crossed, pectoral muscles bulging, he stared back at her with mischief and male arrogance. Arching an eyebrow, she sat up, hooked her fingers in his underwear, and pulled them away to reveal his entire cock. She glanced up to see his reaction. His face had lost the smug expression, and she smiled. Even though she wanted to rip them off, she inched his underwear down until they slipped past his thighs to the floor and then she looked at him. Her eyes widened.

That boyfriend in college had done her a favor. Joe made Michelangelo’s David look like a schoolboy.

“You have too many clothes on,” he said, voice husky with desire. “Let me help you.”

  Speechless, she nodded and stood.

He knelt and placed his hands on her bare thighs just below the hem of her dress. Inch by slow inch, he slid his hands over her naked bottom to her hips where he hesitated as if unsure of what he’d found. Their gazes met, a question in his.

She smiled again, this time uncertain of his reaction. Would it turn him on that she’d gone commando? Or would he think her a hussy? She’d always wanted to do it but never had a reason or the guts. Tonight had seemed the perfect opportunity.

He groaned and closed his eyes. His chest rose and fell in a deep breath before he continued. When he reached her breasts, the red silk pooled around his forearms. Stark desire tightened the skin on his face. All of his attention focused on her breasts. He bent over and kissed first one nipple and then the other. She raised her arms over her head, and he slipped the dress completely off.

“You’re trying to kill me. Do you know how sexy you are?”

Instead of answering him, she kissed him, wanting to feel his skin against hers. Although she knew the mechanics of sex, she wasn’t quite sure what to do next. Grabbing his butt, she pressed herself against him.

  Chapter Six

Part of Joe wanted to pick Naia up and drive his cock as deep as he could into her welcoming body. He groaned just imagining it. Another part wanted to take it slow and easy. They had all night. They had no need for speed. But most of the blood had drained from his head, and he couldn’t think clearly. Slow and easy was losing the battle.

When she ground her hips against him, he lost it completely. Sweeping the black and white silk comforter out of the way, he picked her up and laid her on the bed. Long hair fanned out around her, a dark halo against the white sheets. Her dusky-rose nipples peaked and begged for his attention. Lips swollen from his kisses, she blinked and stretched her arms toward him. Unable to resist, he put his knee between her legs and nudged them open.

God, she took his breath away.

He spread her legs wider and lifted her hips. Watching her from between her legs, he bent his head and tasted her.

Her eyes widened, and she stiffened, but then she moaned, her head falling back against the pillow. She threaded her fingers through his hair and held him there.

  “Oh God, Joe.”

She squirmed under him, thrusting her pelvis into his mouth. He sucked on her clitoris and then thrust his tongue into her. She bucked.

  “Please,” she begged.

He replaced his tongue with a finger and sucked at her clit. She was tight. Tighter than any woman he could remember. He ached with the need to fill her, but she tasted so good. Sweet and tangy, just as he’d imagined her. Her entire body went rigid, and she screamed, coming in his mouth. He lapped at her pussy before positioning himself between her legs. His cock bumped against her labia, and he paused. Every cell in his body yearned to join with hers, but sanity returned for a split second.

“Protection,” he gasped. Without getting up, he reached across to the nightstand and grabbed one of the condoms lying on top of it. Loath to break contact with her, but, desperate to get the condom on, he sat back on his heels, ripped open the wrapper, and rolled it down his cock. His heart raced at the sight of her sprawled and sated and ready for him.

He repositioned himself between her legs and guided the tip of his cock into her. Every part of him wanted to drive into her welcoming heat, but something held him back. So, he inched in a little farther, paused, and groaned. Tight. So tight. Gritting his teeth, he brace hims
elf with his arms on either side of her head and pushed in a little farther. God, he wanted to drive home. Again, he stopped. The pressure at the base of his cock built. Any movement, and he’d come.

Little mewling noises escaped with each panting breath she took.

“Oh God, Joe…just do it…. Fill me…. Please.”

His control slipped, and he thrust, coming up against a slight resistance. Shock stilled him, and he tensed. He looked down at her with a question. Was she a virgin?

She stiffened under him and met his look full on, silently daring him to continue. He tried to pull out, but she wrapped her legs around him, imprisoning him.

“Do it now,” she said, her voice husky, and licked her lips.

  So sexy.

  “Are you sure?”

She nodded and pulled his head down in a passion-filled kiss. Lust roared through him, disintegrating all common sense.

  How could he refuse her?

With a thrust, he broke her hymen and embedded himself in her. Her nails bit into his arms, and he stilled, allowing her time to accommodate him.

It had hurt…a little bit, but now she wanted him to move. She needed him to move. She gyrated her hips against his. He moaned but still didn’t move.

Breaking free of their kiss, she said, “Fuck me, damn it!”

Surprise froze his face before it broke out into a smile. He drew his hips back and slid his cock back in again and again, creating a rhythm that soon had her gasping and moaning. Pressure built inside of her, even more intense than the first time. Fire raced through her veins and shot to her core. She arched up against him as a wave of pleasure washed over her and her consciousness fragmented into tiny pieces.

From a distance, she heard him shout his release before he collapsed on top of her.

She lay on her back, totally relaxed, eyes closed, arms limp by her sides, and wondered why she’d waited so long. Somehow, she doubted it’d be this way with everyone. Maybe only with Mr. Hotness. Maybe not.
